Broken Bones

poem by: Poetic Justice
Written on Jan 20, 2014

Im still trying to figure out,
What I have become,
I used to get so high,
Everything was numb,
A lifetime of memories,
Many have now faded,
I didn't plan to live my life,
Absolutely jaded,
Repeating the apocalyptic,
Hell of yesterday,
The smallest taste of Heaven,
Is the biggest price we pay.
My own super highway,
Destination Hell,
I wish I had a dollar,
For every time I fell,
Searching for my purpose,
But what did I find,
I've created my own prison,
And a pain of a different kind.

Superb poem. I have been there and whenever I thought I had escaped back I went. My saving Grace is a wonderful beautiful gentle book called " The power of Now" Eckhart Tolle. I hope you arrive too. A haunting beautiful poem, Poetic. George.
