Sisters
They are the integral & eternal links between us and our parents,
They are the divine, precious and inevitable elements.
Sisters are God’s wonderful blessing,
Adorable, sensible and always seeking.
Vulnerable & possessive are the traits eyes perceive,
Hidden is a core of unwavering support, hard to conceive.
Ready to bear the impacts and bashing on our part,
Returning a smile and a wink, the warmth of their heart.
Biased & partial are most of their judgement towards us,
Guard us from predicament of unknown cause.
Yet break into a fight whenever judged,
An expression of affection difficult to nudge.
Pillars of strength is what they epitomize,
Knowingly or unknowingly share words and gestures, unexpectedly wise.
Can’t take a ‘no’ for an answer,
Yet always extend an affirmation that conquers,
Share, care, prayer are the qualities definable,
Sisters make sacrifices sometimes unimaginable.
Blessed are those who have sisters,
A relationship flavoured with pleasant twisters.
