A Wish

I made a wish on a star
the worst mistake I've made so far
if only I knew...
That one little wish
the words that slipped from my lips
would change all as I knew it
for the wish came true...
People always hear
be careful what you wish for
all wishes have a catch...
Oh how true that is
for I made a wish on a star
the worst mistake I've made so far
for it came true, and changed it all...
Everything I once loved
is now gone
everything I once had
completely erased form my world...
not cause their gone,
but because of my wish on that star
the wish to be dead...
Now I'm alone, listening to everyones' cries
because I'm gone...
I never thought I was loved
now I know I was, I learned the hard way
because my wish was granted.
