The Two Sides to Breathing

The silence is comforting and lulling But never actually silence For the world seems useless and fragile And she feels useless and fragile Like the world is swallowing her whole Though she feels almost light It’s a trickling sensation, swarming her body Longing for a reprieve from limbo How can you drown and float at once? By breathing with some, and rasping with others For how can anyone realise you’re drowning When you act like you’re so high And how can anyone realise you’re floating When you act like you want to die

I really like your poem, that last stanza was very deep and very true. You do not really know how people are just on how we see them. You should post more of your work.

A great metaphor for breathing, also made me relax and think of breathing as I read through it.
