Four Walls
I awake each morning, four walls are closing in
Looking out into the garden , the dew upon the grass
The morning fog is lifting , birds chirping , bold as brass
There is a chill in the air , autumn trees are going bare
Four walls that sorround me , but not a prison cell
For I have the key , this is where I choose to dwell
Life is what you make it , you are here for a short while
Do what you want ,when you can, but do it in your own style
Try to free the mind , open up your inner thoughts
Write them down ,share them , those words cannot be bought
Four walls may be sometimes , all you see each day
Be real, be honest the world outside is never far away
Always retain a glimmer of hope in your mind and in your heart
That the life you aspire to, is your very own work of art
A gradual process as each day passes by
For you never really know ,when you are an apple in someones eye .
