The sun set and the house went quite Bed by 8 teeth brushed and pyjamas on Homework left to be marked Parents hugged and children gone Its two in the morning alarm for work set for well before noon Television turned off Work tomorrow better sleep soon Its nine at night Child is bathed kissed and tucked into bed School run in the morning Mummys sleeping like the dead The first is the view of a child The second of a teenager The last of an adult One life set to such a varied tone Each verse is different May you enjoy the song Even if your dancing to a different beat
