Almost relaxed it began, leisurely of pace
Innocent of significance, but clarity and grace
Our words unfold, darkness scatters
Particulars in common, we uncovered

Your thoughts more naked, draw me in keen
Minds fired, of what is unseen
Battle lines are drawn, defences shattered
In enemy territory, fully enamoured

Quickening now, intrigue is apparent
Realisation dawns, visible, cognisant
A place of our own, A place of rest
More of you, I long to digest

Emotions are stirred, I beg what if ?
A place for our hearts, a condign gift
Mutually ours, lives to share
Desire inflame, souls to bare

Careering now, no means to slow
Committed, fated to go
