And old man Peter Jackson was living on his farm alone and had several people try and break into his house and farm and
To steal his animals and farm equipment he would never give in to them thugs and on a early Saturday morning he woke to find his barn and house was on fire he saw several people on his property and he didn't report this to the police he knew who was behind it and he had to act quickly the thugs came back again on Monday night tried to steal his tractor and trailer and they had damaged his tools and equipment and stole some of them Peter came outside and they assaulted him leaving him with a broken nose and a black eye and he needed stitches he never reported this to the police what happened to him he told his daughter Tina who was a nurse at a hospital and she was so worried about her father she wanted the police to help him but he refused telling her not to tell the police or he will never talk to her again Tina told her sister Ann and they wanted to get there father out of there and they began staying with him and they where trying to sell the farm without there father knowing this and on a rainy and dark Friday night three young men broke into the house and assaulted everyone inside the house and they set fire to the house and the cars the police eventually entered the property on the farm and they took statements and said they would be watching the farm closely Paddy was very angry with his two daughters and told them to leave the farm they where so worried about there father and another dark and wet windy night two youngest where breaking into the barn and Paddy Jackson came running outside and he opened fired with his shot gun and they fled the scene
Paddy was alone in the house on the farm While listening to the radio one night and he heard the sound of people in his driveway
Two thugs laughing at him and they had a hand gun and pointed at him Paddy didn't no what to do he was pushed over the edge and about to have a mental breakdown on
Sunday night four thugs where drinking in the barn and lighting a fire and smashing glass everywhere laughing loud music and Paddy Jackson was hiding in the barn tonight with a shot gun and a hand gun and he opened fire and shot the four thugs all in the face they all dead and had driving Paddy over the edge the police and ambulance arrived at the farm and Paddy Jackson was arrested and taken to jail and was charged by the criminal court his farm went on the market to be sold his house was always burgled and that Paddy Jackson found himself attacked or harmed or he would be killed by intruders who wanted him out of the way they wanted his house Paddy had a spate of thefts and burglaries and fires and damage to his house and properties and he was in constant fear and he could at any time be a victim of such a terrible crime himself he told the police
The applicant's defence at trial was one of self defence at the conclusion of all the evidence and he was found to be paranoid by his doctor he thought he was going to ne killed he was living on his nerves by these thugs who where driving him insane the jury's statement read in court
Paddy Jackson could have removed himself from the scene of the barn that night but instead he decided to open fire with his shot gun and kill everyone in his barn on that terrible night
The toxicology tests on the four body's found traces of cannabis opiates and tranquilliser and drink Paddy Jackson was not able to sleep he was to scared he thought he would be killed at trial
Paddy Jackson pleaded not guilty to
The murders and he was found guilty convicted of the murders the judge Mr Sheridan said it wasn't self defence you hid and waited for these people and when you had the chance you decided to murder them all you could have had the chance to hid the bodies on your farm and gey away with it Mr Paddy Jackson
Sentencing Paddy Jackson to 10 years
For the murders the judge said the most horrible case I have ever had you knew what you did on that night which I have to impose this long sentence on you the judge said he would take into consideration your an old man but not above the law you did show remorse for your crimes and have apologised to the families involved you can apply for parole in 5 years Paddy Jackson passed away 3 years into his jail term of a massive heart attack thousands of people from around the world attended his funeral
His farm and house have been sold.
