Knowledge

poem by: E.J. Waling
Written on Feb 25, 2020

Choice.
Knowledge
is choice.
Choice begets
knowledge.
Believe.
What
to believe?
Knowledge
attained is
not without
sacrifice.
Not without
suffering.
Not without
pain.
The tree.
The apple.
The snake.
Knowledge.
The choice
was made.
The path
decided.
The fork
taken.
Consequences
endured.
What if
they stayed?
