TWO BAD COPS
Beware the streets after the sun goes down vultures prey this side of town
Two cops came to me one night one on my left one on my right
But wait a while and hear my story I kid you not I felt no glory
One o clock and all is well I started heading straight to hell
The road was narrow the sign was clear to my surprise they did not care
Their squad car move slow and steady one mile it creep on the ready
They plaid that game for quite a while I thought by God they’re dead already
To move ahead but they denied I found out quickly they could drive
They played their game yet for a while then move aside and let me by
Their flashing lights I quickly saw I thought for sure they wanted more
I told myself this is a joke but cautiously I pull alongside the oak
Two city cops came up to my truck one on my right one on my left
Show me your licensee she demand I know not why but I comply
Into my pocket I reach being careful not to itch twitch or bitch
Stumbling up in their fancy black suit they try walking in a line
With flashlight in hand she search my truck not telling me boy that sucks
I look her up from head to toe she look like Larry Curly or Moe
Let see your licensee she rudely back and what is inside this here sack
Whose truck is this I heard him say I answered him and then I say
What is my crime I softly ask you tailing a cop now sit your ass?
What was I to do I told the cop to drive any slower would be to stop
He took my lice sense they both step away a sorry pair I had to say
Five minutes later they walk much straighter there are posted signs he said
Yes signs for me and not for you being a cop that makes me blue
You are clean he said to me now you can go before I sin to him I said I must report
Your names I ask I must have they look at me and then he said My name is Kane the badge the same thinking for a moment then I sight Was it not Kane that kill Abel that night so I quickly said goodnight Beware the streets after the sun goes down vultures prey this side of town
