My Valentine

If I had never met you
I wouldn't know what true love meant
I didn't know the meaning of happiness
And my lonely life was just content

Never knowing the magic of romance
And to hear someone say to me, I love you
To me, these were just illusions
Illusions of a dream that will never come true

on many cold and lonely valentine’s nights
My only companion was a bottle of wine
And I would ask God if he made a girl for me?
A girl to love and to hold and to call my valentine

and then another year would pass
and I would still be alone
with another bottle of wine
and a cold and lonely home

And just when I was about to wake up from this dream
And accept that the hope of love is gone
And I decided that I was going to bury this dream of love
In a forest at the break of dawn

I went out for a walk 
Just feeling sorry for myself once more
Another Valentines night
Wasted just like all the others before

And as I sat on a bench in the park
I smoked a cigarette or two
Then I look at the bench next to me
And there was you

And that night under a full moon
We meet by chance and our hearts agree
I was looking for you all my life
And you were looking for me

God does have ways of working
And who god bless no one can take apart
He brings us both together
And planted the seeds of love in our hearts

And the day, that you said you would marry me
The heaven opens up and the sun begins shines
For one of its most beautiful angels are standing next to me
As my wife and my one and only forever valentines

and with every passing day
our love for each other begins to grow and grow
just like a river in heaven
that will always flow

love is the one of the strongest
 feeling one can ever have
it comes over you all of a sudden
 and totally absorbs before you manage to realize the fact

and the emotions that arise with the feelings 
requires some way of expression
furtive glances, sweet words, and touching 
 the manifestation of your affection

and hearing the sound of your beautiful voice
And the way you would smile and kiss me
the curves and every detail of your face
makes my love runs deeper than the big blue sea

And when you hug me in your arms
There’s nothing else that matters in the worlds tonight
And all the stars would shine down on us
Making our future forever be so bright

 Sleeping and waking next to you every morning
 in the kitchen having coffee and cakes
And taking long drives with picnic baskets
Sitting under a tree overlooking the lakes

Going to the parks playing basketball
Then having tofu for dinner with red wine
Telling each other I love you 
My love, my life, my wife, my valentine
