Darkness To Light

The thoughts keep spinning around in my brain Like raindrops lashing the window pane I'm spiraling down to an empty space Slowly descending to a darker place. Like a symphony with a sweet refrain The lilting movements the moments of pain The melody fades and soon goes away The darkness remains on the brightest day. I stand alone and gaze at the sea The distant horizon gently beckons to me The water is swirling around my feet I turn around and slowly retreat. Enshrouded in darkness engulfed in pain The tears keep falling like wintry rain The sun is shining and the flowers bloom I stay alone in my darkened room. Why does it have to be this way I want to awake and embrace the day I'm travelling down a scary street My heart is racing to a crazy beat. And then I reached out my hand to you Please help me Lord just guide me through You found me there in my darkest night Lifted me up and showed me the light.
