Murder At the End of Sunshine Street

It was another day of school
It was another day of sun array
But he was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder at the end of Sunshine Street
He was picked up from another day’s work
But he was not prepared for what was to lurk
He was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder at the end of Sunshine Street
He was moving slowly along the lane
Until he heard something completely insane from adult driver and beyond what was inside the car not that far
He was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder at the end of Sunshine Street
He was young, aged at the year of the passenger
He was fine, until his loss of what was beyond luck, seen by overlooking messenger
He, young passenger, was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder at the end of Sunshine Street
He was at mid cross when someone waved at him from a truck
Of course he waved back, making him vulnerable to the bat that would strike him, not because of the matter of luck, but of the matter of decision.
He, young bystander, was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder at the end of Sunshine Street
Mother and child heard the sounds of a car crash, metal to metal, metal to what turned out to be a small organic body
The mother was shocked at the sight of what his new life was to be, and the child of hearing it
Because he was not prepared for the rain at his feet
He was not prepared for the murder, not murder, at the end of Sunshine Street
The driver left out the door for closer observation, leaving the passenger feeling even more numb to the situation at hand
The driver came back inside to call the scarlet number, far away from his sugar-coated land
The child was at shock
It was as if reality hit him with a rock
And that’s when he realized there never was a Sunshine Street
His world is not perfect, it has a dark rhythm, it has a dark beat
Later that now rainy day, with the knowledge of his new life after that sight
He went home to pray later that night
The world is not composed of darkness
There is a lot more good to witness than bad
But once in your life, something will strike you no matter how near no matter how far
No matter how ajar your line of sight is
And he is now prepared for the end of Sunshine Street
