Wilderness

poem by: E.J. Waling

Wilderness
sound.
Cosmic
silence.
Nothing
seems
alive.
Anywhere.
At lest
as far
as can be
told.
Seen.
What
about
what was?
Or what
isn’t.
Ripples
in the
milieu.
Bobbing,
undulating
spacetime.
Here.
Gone.
Back
again.
Infinite
spatial,
temporal,
dimensional.
Everywhere
at once.
Beyond.
Far beyond
mere mortals.
Forever
abandoned.
Doomed
to spin
within
finite
understanding.
Knowledge
of the
great
structure,
Currently
beyond
reach.
