Trauma

poem by: Joshua JayShades Legister
Written on Aug 06, 2026

Do not mistake your calm
for someone else's weakness.

We are shaped
by different battles.

A wounded soul
is a kettle on the boil.

Every betrayal,
every reminder,
every careless word
flicks the switch.

Do not expect others
to cool
at the same speed
you never had to burn.
