On Pondrin I can touch the sky

On Pondrin, verily verily I can touch the sky,
And travel beyond the sun the moon,
And always wonder and reason why?

Why did my Creator bless me with
His world of awesome beauty.
The mountains and all of the
greenery that I see in
Western Washington State?

Majestic Mountains and the Columbia
River, Lake Union and Lake Washington
And Snohomish County's Silver Lake.
The lazy green Snohomish River.

Which oftentimes looks a vivid shade
Of green flowing beneath their fine
City's First Street. An abundance
Of colorful flowers and warm
Summer's rain showers.

Our state tree is the majestic Evergreen
tree Standing tall in the Western half
Of the Evergreen State and I live
In the Evergreen City of Everett.

And the City of Seattle, where
I was born, is the Emerald City too.
So named after the Emerald City;
After the classical film, the Wizard
Of Oz.

We have cities and smaller towns,
But all is not perfect in this land of
Eden's paradise for our cities are
Plagued with crimes of both violence
And vice.

It is part of the fallen sinful nature of
Men and Women, it is very sad, but
Also true. For it is only Jesus Christ,
Who can redeem and save people
Such as me and such as you.

All of my love in Christ Jesus,

Why waste the time of day in wishful thinking? Why spin cobwebs in the air? Why wish upon a star, when no one hears? Many years I have spent in wishful thinking. Day dreaming most of my life away. Wasting away the years, Ign... Read more
