Being Human

poem by: E.J. Waling
Written on May 16, 2026

Being human.
What
does it
mean?
Size.
Shape.
Sex.
Color.
Good.
Bad.
Indifferent.
From
the past,
to the
future.
Humanity’s
travels,
travails.
Arc.
Primitive
to
modernity.
Many
variations
falling along
the way.
Next?
Who knows.
Where?
Story line
dense.
Evolving.
Uncharted
maneuver.
Something
big
straight
ahead.
Trepidation,
anxiety
rising.
Adapt
or
swept
away.
