FIRST CHRISTMAS NIGHT

poem by: Roxanne Dubarry
Written on Oct 26, 2025

"Twas in the first holly Christmas night,
that country Sheppard's guarding their flocks
beheld a wondrous sight. The heavenly
angelic hosts filled the night sky,
while worshiping God on High."

"Peace on earth goodwill towards men."
they promised them. Leaving their flocks
they traveled to Bethlehem, finding
Joseph, Mary and the Christ Child.
They worshiped Him!

SNOWFLAKES

O single snowflake, so tiny and small.
You are one of our Creator's most
Marvelous wonders of all!

O single snowflake, how graceful
You slowly fall from Heaven's
Clear blue sky. And when you suddenly
Disappear, you bring tear drops to
Small Children's eyes!

THE KEYS TO MY HEART'S DOOR

Lonely and lost I am no more,
For you held the keys that opened
My heart's door.

A prisoner of my own selfish whims.
You taught me how to search my soul from
Deep within.

The emptiness that once was there is
Lost for ever more.
Because you held the keys that opened
My heart's door.

Wishful thinking

poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Why waste the time of day in wishful thinking? Why spin cobwebs in the air? Why wish upon a star, when no one hears? Many years I have spent in wishful thinking. Day dreaming most of my life away. Wasting away the years, Ign... Read more

Jesus Christ is my major source of inspiration, it is quite obvious to me. Without his help, I would possess no talent for composing any of my inspirational Christian poetry. He provides the words to say. He lightens my heavy ... Read more
