I'm constantly going "back in time" with my poetry....I loved playing with bows and arrows....I made my own..it was taller than me!...and deadly.....Yeah all those old games are dying out...kids don't enjoy the outdoors the way we did back in the 50s and 60s....love the Poem Kay....

Thank you Frank... the throwing arrows were a piece of cane/stick about 12in loop the string at the top, hold the string at the bottom of the cane and presto a throwing arrow... probably get locked up if we did it now :)

Yeah...I get what you mean now....(no bow)...hahaha..you never realised that you were playing with deadly weapons back then.....I put one of my mums darning needles tied to the end of my arrow......and hit my mates brother in his back from about 100 yards away!...(I aimed at him, but I never thought I'd hit him!)....the way he fell, I thought I'd killed him!.......great fun though hahaha...
